Incentives
Off grid solar electric power systems qualify for both the 50% state credit and
the 30% federal credit; however, the batteries are not covered on the federal
tax credit. With the rebates available these systems can pay for themselves in
as little as 12 years.
How they work
Off-grid solar electric systems can provide power equal to or surpassing
quality of grid service to a remote home location, often at a fraction of the
cost. Larger battery banks are used in conjunction with
optional backup generators to provide power throughout the year. Off-grid
systems use battery based inverters as well as
solar charge controllers.
Maintenance
We use only gel cell batteries which do not vent harmful, explosive gas,
require no venting and have an expected service life of 10 years.
Warranties
The solar panels are warranted for 25 years, the inverter for 10 years, and
the batteries for 3 years
